how often should i change my oil filter if i have the oil that will last me 15,000 miles?
I have the long lasting oil by Mobile 1 which says that i don't have to change oil for 15,000 miles. And I bought a K&N performance oil filter which was suppose to be the best one they had at the store. Do i need to change the oil filter every 3,000 miles or can i wait until my next oil change?
A-Best: You should change your oil filter every time you change your long lasting synthetic oil, whether it be at 10,000 or 15,000 miles. Some brands of special oil filters are available for use with synthetic oil, depending on the make and model.
A: As long as your car doesnt burn oil or leak oil you can run it that long.I would just check your oil atleast every 1000mi if its black or dark brown change it but I would probabally only let it go for 8000 or 9000 mi I am anal about that stuff.
A: With that filter, I would change half way through at 7500 mi. If you want a filter that lasts the whole 15000, look at the Amsoil Ea filter.
